Tuğrul Tamtürk, General Manager of Enfotek A.Ş., which develops 100% domestic ERP Solutions in Dokuz Eylul University Technology Development Zone (DEPARK), talked about 'lean digitalization' as a new concept in ERP. Stating that Enfotek will now lead the way in "Lean Digitalization" after "Expert ERP", Tamtürk said: "Lean Digitalization is a new concept. It is a concept that emerges from the values of Enfotek. Because there is the concept of simplification in the market. It's a philosophy that comes mostly from Asia (pioneered by companies like Toyota). And then there is the concept of digitization. It is a process that progresses under the leadership of software companies. Here, simple digitalization is the combination of these two subjects with the 'design' partnership.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IS IMPORTANT
Asking “Well, what should manufacturing businesses and companies that need business intelligence and digitalization pay attention to?” Tamtürk said: “Here the concept of lean digitalization comes into play. In the past 20 years, we have seen that by putting these principles into practice through reason and experience, companies that invest in digitalization have fast and beneficial projects with much lower budgets. We saw that they achieved growth momentum by turning crisis periods into opportunities. Companies that have not completed the lean digitalization process have disappeared. Companies that have integrated into lean digitalization have filled this gap,”.
ERP NEEDS SECTORAL EXPERTISE
Tamtürk continued: “Let me give a simple explanation to clear up the confusion. When many ERP companies sell their product to you, they also ask the company to employ a software developer. However, since the company is not a software company, it is trying to produce in a different field than its core business line. In order to eliminate the problems about the suitability of ERP for the company, this software team grows and becomes unmanageable. Companies should not actually employ software developers and should not be in need of it. Instead, companies need to establish business development project teams. At the same time, there should be expert installers, which is a sensitive point for Enfotek. But these are not enough either. At the same time, companies need to have agile programming tools. Because our topic is digitalization. To talk about this, it is also necessary to talk about software architecture. And this is not something that can be accomplished in a few months or a few years. For this, we are talking about an ERP solution that we call 'Expert ERP', which is sector-specific and knows the problems of the sector, and develops with years of experience. Therefore, we can summarize lean digitalization as follows; “simplification and digitalization are in the same design”.
